US pursuing ambiguous policy - Iran envoy
United Nations, May 29, IRNA – The Permanent ambassador of Iran to the UN charged the US of pursuing a double-standard policy on nuclear issues as well as the Non-Proliferation.
Talking to IRNA, Mohammad Khazaei made the remarks on the sidelines of the NPT review conference in New York that started on 3rd May and ended on Friday.
Clarifying US charges, Khazaei said that the issues of mounting attack on Iran, as an NPT member country, and protesting over joining Israel to the NPT are clear indications of Washington's ambiguous policy on nuclear issues.
Khazaei added that the US has no standards in its behavior towards the NPT and the nuclear issues as well.
Commenting on the review conference’s final document, Khazaei said that the document lacks some key points, one of which is that it has not set any specific time for the annihilation of nuclear weapons worldwide./end
