New York, May 29, IRNA – The final session of the 2010 NPT Review Conference began at 03:30 P.M. Friday, New York local time (early Saturday morning, Tehran time).

Responding to questions put forward by waiting world media reporters about Iran's viewpoints on the final document of the conference, the envoy and permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the IAEA, Ali-Asghar Soltaniyeh, said: “Just be patient!”

The NPT Review Conference began on Monday May 3rd, and will end on Saturday 29th.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad attended the opening session of the conference and addressed the gathering proposing eleven points regarding global nuclear disarmament.

President Ahmadinejad was the only head of state at the gathering which was attended by the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, and the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon.

The 28-page final document, inclusive of Iran’s proposal for declaring the Middle East as a nuclear missiles free zone by the year 2012 is to be put to vote in the session. The proposal has the support of many countries, including the United States, which is being disliked by the Zionist regime./end
