MOSCOW, May 28 (Itar-Tass) - The Russian Ministry for Emergency
Situations has airlifted humanitarian aid for Kyrgyzstan, sources from the
ministry's information department told Tass on Friday.
"In accordance with a government instruction, an Il-76 plane of the
Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has delivered in Bishkek over 43
tons of humanitarian aid," the source said. "It is intended for medics and
the emergencies ministry of Kyrgyzstan," the source specified.
In particular, the plane airlifted medical equipment, medicines and
disinfecting materials as well as hardware for the emergencies ministry,
all worth over 17 million roubles.
