Envoy confers with police officials following Stavropol explosion.

STAVROPOL, May 27 (Itar-Tass) - Deputy Prime Minister, presidential
envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District (SKFO) Alexander Khloponin
chaired a conference in Yessentuki with law-enforcement officials and
regional leaders over the Wednesday terrorist attack in Stavropol, in
which six people were killed and dozens were injured.
"The participants discussed the act of terror and the priority
measures," spokeswoman for Khloponin's office Natalia Platonova told
Itar-Tass.
"Alexander Khloponin has heard a full report by the regional governor
and law-enforcement officials; he's well versed in the situation, and
concrete measures are to follow," Platonova said.
Earlier, the Stavropol civil defense and emergencies department
reported the death of a 12-year-old girl injured in the explosion, which
raised the death toll to six.
Regional deputy prime minister Sergei Ushakov is chairing a session of
the crisis headquarters. Stavropol has mobilized medical services. The
injured were taken to several hospitals.
"We're closely interacting with the city administration," the press
service of t he regional governor said.
According to preliminary reports, the explosion carried the force of
200-250 grams of TNT. The bomb was filled with semi-spherical objects with
a diameter of 6-7 centimeters.
The explosion occurred in the evening near the House of Trade Union
Culture and Sport in Lenin Street.
"An explosive device attached to the edge of the roof went off," an
Interior Ministry spokesman said, adding that the explosion had occurred
above the Caucasian dance room.


.Human remains with gunshot wounds found in Krasnodar Territory.

MOSCOW, May 27 (Itar-Tass) - Remains of 13 human bodies were found in
the town of Armavir, Krasnodar Territory, during excavation works, all
with gunshot wounds to the back of the head, the press service of the
regional department of the Investigations Committee under the Prosecutor
General's Office (SKP) told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
"The human remains were found near 7th Line Street. The position of
the bodies suggests that people were on their knees with the hands tied
behind their backs when they were shot," the press service said.
Investigators have launched a check. A procedural decision will
follow. "There are reasons to believe that the burial site belongs to a
pre-war or war (1941-1945) period," the SKP said.
