WE WANT YOU TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MONGOLIA

EXPERIENCED, NOT SPOILT
Mongolians traditionally rear their children by giving them rules of behavior, no matter how small they may be. There are many books full of advice for parents. For example, in the book "Three Letters From to Van" written in 1735, it says:
"Teach the child to hold the spoon in the right hand when they start to eat by themselves
Never be too cloying when children start to speak.
Teach them to understand the meaning of the sky and earth and four directions when they start to walk.
Impress upon them the importance of respect for their parents and others when they learn to bow."
Mongolians have a host of proverbs and wise advice, such as 'A child should be experienced, not spoilt,' 'Better to see it once than to hear it a hundred times' 'Hard on the surface but with a heart of gold.'
