OIC URGES INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO CONDEMN “PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS” IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH AS ILLEGAL
Baku, May 26 (AzerTAc). The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) condemns “parliamentary elections” in Nagrono Karabakh, the Azerbaijan`s region, occupied by the Armenian armed forces, OIC statement says.
OIC Secretary General doesn`t recognize the results of the “elections” as they contradict the norms and principles of the Geneva convention and resolutions of the UN Security Council, OIC and OSCE.
OIC urges the international community to condemn the “polls” as illegal. Secretary General of the largest Islamic organization reaffirmed his support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the country`s efforts toward the peaceful solution of the conflict on the grounds of international norms and principles.
