Iran-Turkey ties will help global stability: Official

Tehran, May 26, IRNA - Head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization Mehdi Mostafavi said Wednesday in Ankara that friendly Tehran-Ankara relations will help global stability.

In a meeting with Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, he said Iran-Turkey's all-out cooperation will positively influence regional and international developments.

Expansion of cultural and religious relations will help further boost all-out cooperation between the two neighboring states, he added.

For his part, the Turkish official referred to the growing trend of bilateral ties, saying Tehran and Ankara enjoy very amicable ties.

He added that expansion of relations between the two countries is to the benefit of the two nations.

Underlining the need for removing any probable obstacles in the way of further expansion of bilateral cooperation, he said Ankara is trying to make opportunities out of all threats.

Referring to Iran and Turkey as two influential countries, Arinc said the two sides should make greater efforts to establish regional and international peace and stability.

He called for further consultations between the two countries’ cultural and religious organizations./end
