State goes ahead to end sedition in Saada, says president

SANA'A, July 14 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh insisted on Sunday that the state would go ahead to end the sedition, terror acts and enforce law in Saada.

During his meeting with the representatives of the National Opposition Council, Bath party and Yemeni Sons League, president Saleh highlighted role of military andsecurity forces in cooperation with citizens to reach these goals.

He also reviewed the current condition in Saada governorate, pointing out to theefforts of the state to preserve Yemeni bloods.

"But rebels of al-Houthi rejected these efforts and continue their attacks against citizens and military and security forces as well as public and privatepossessions," he said.

President Saleh made it clear that these law breakers want to return the country backward supported by foreign parties who want to clear their accounts on Yemenilands.

In the meeting, current developments in the country especially constitutionalamendments on the law of elections were discussed.

President Saleh reviewed changes took place in the country and current discussion over making amendments to enhance local ruling and formation of Supreme Commissionof Elections and Referendum to hold coming parliamentary elections on time.

They discussed also drafts presented to the meeting to coordinate between the participating parties and the General people congress party to sever nationalinterests and improving democratic experiment of the country.

A committee was formed to discus these draft of cooperation to draw joint vision for setting alliance between the parties based on national principles in the top ofwhich are constitution, republican system and unification.

The president also affirmed important role of the political parties and civil society organizations to enhance national unity to serve higher national interests, welcoming the initiative of the participating parties to set up alliance with theGPC.
