Nasrollah warns Israel against Lebanese ports blockade

Beirut, May 26, IRNA – Secretary-General of Lebanese Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrollah said if a new war breaks out by Israel, Lebanese Resistance will be the winner and will change the face of the region.

Speaking on the occasion of 10th anniversary of the Resistance victory over Israel, Nasrollah told more than 10,000 of Hezbollah supporters that Resistance will defend Lebanon 'by trusting in God, relying on our children and decision of the government'.

He added that the aim of Israeli war games is to frighten Lebanese people, 'but we tell Israelis although we do not want war, in case of breakingout a war, we will change the face of the region'.

Nasrollah continued that if Israel, in a future war, decides to blockade Lebanese ports and littoral waters, they should know that all vessels, either military or commercial, which are moving toward Israel on the Mediterranean Sea will be within the reach of resistance missiles.

He mentioned several factors as the cause of victory including people's determination, political stability, coordination between Resistance and the Lebanese Army as well as the government's political resistance against the US pressures, and Syrian and Iran's support for the Resistance, which he stressed that Hezbollah is proud of it.

Nasrollah underscored the unity between the Lebanese Army, people and the Resistance, as President Michel Suleiman had already mentioned./end
