Iran-Turkey underline expansion of cultural ties

Ankara, May 26, IRNA – In a meeting between Advisor to President and head of Culture and Islamic Communication Organization Mehdi Mostafavi with Turkey’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Ismet Yilmaz here on Tuesday evening consolidation and expansion of cultural relations was underlined.
Mostafavi, who is in Ankara upon an invitation of Head of Turkey's Religion Affairs Organization Ali Bardakoglu, in the meeting with Yilmaz discussed ways to expand cultural ties.
Yilmaz, by referring to the close and expanding bilateral ties, said that in the long historical ties between the two countries, there have been few challenges and disputes and nowadays we witness that interaction between Iran and Turkey is expanding.
By expressing pleasure with expansion of relations between the two countries, Mostafavi said, "We hope to witness developments in the field of culture which is an effective and sustainable element in deepening mutual ties."
Both officials also underlined the establishment of a joint cultural commission between the two nations./end
