43 enterprises have been selected for National Trademark Programme.
Hanoi (VNA) -- The director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade's Trade Promotion Agency, Do Thang Hai announced that 43
enterprises have been selected to participate in the second phase of the National Trademark Programme.
The trademarks cover textiles, footwear, finances, beverages, confectionery,
tourism services, pharmaceuticals, real estate, telecommunications, construction
and wooden furniture.
"Despite the global economic difficulties of the past two years, most of the
enterprises that were selected for the programme's first phase still managed to
ensure business growth as well as maintain their position in domestic and
international markets," Hai said.
Of the total, 27 were eligible to continue with the second phase along with 16 new
enterprises, he noted, adding that the names of the selected enterprises would be
announced on May 25 in Hanoi .
The programme is the only of its kind created by the Government to help establish
a national image based on innovation, creativity, quality and leadership. It seeks
to further develop a reputation for diverse and high-quality goods and services.
Selected businesses will be able to use an official seal on their products as well
as in promotional material, the agency said, adding that they could also
contribute suggestions and ideas to develop detailed action programmes.
Firms will also receive support in developing their trademarks and seeking new
trade partners and are given the opportunity to participate in a common consumer
survey and use the data for future business development.-Enditem
