N Korea warns S Korea of inadmissibility of violating maritime border.
PYONGYANG, May 25 (Itar-Tass) - North Korean authorities have pointed out to South Korea the inadmissibility of incursions of the latter country's ships in the North Korean territorial waters in the Western /Yellow/ Sea, the Korean Central News Agency said Tuesday quoting a special notification sent by the head of the North's delegation to the inter-Korean military negotiations.
The KCNA said the notification was issued to the "marionette regime in
Seoul".
It said South Korean ships "made violated the maritime border of the
Democratic People's Republic of Korea dozens of times between May 14 and
May 24."
The DPRK regards such actions "as a premeditated provocation prone
with a further deterioration of inter-Korean relations and an armed
conflict."
The North Korean representative warned that his country "will take
practical military steps to defend its territorial waters if the
violations continue."
"South Korea will then bear the full brunt of responsibility for the
aftermath of such developments," he said.
