Iran FM meets with Mexican minister
Tehran, May 25, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki met with Mexican Minister of Energy Georgina Kessel Martinez on Tuesday and conferred with her on expansion of cooperation on the energy issue.
Mottaki called for bilateral oil, energy and petrochemical cooperation in the regional and intraregional arenas as well.
Mottaki further expressed Iran’s readiness to foster bilateral and multilateral relations with Mexico in different fields.
Meanwhile, Ms Kessel Martinez called for boosting Tehran-Mexico City economic relations, in particular oil and gas cooperation.
She also said her country is willing to expand ties with Iran in various fields.
Iran’s foreign minister arrived in Mexico on Monday morning for bilateral talks with the country’s top officials./end
