I can play anywhere for the country: Hauritz

Sydney, Jul 12 (PTI) Young Australian off-spinner Nathan Hauritz, named in 30 probables for the Champions Trophy in September, said he would play anywhere for his country toregain his place in the national team.

"I wouldn't care where we play if it meant playing for my country. (Getting the chance) to represent your country doesn't happen all the time," the 26-year-old cricketer wasquoted as saying by 'The Daily Telegraph' here Saturday.

Hauritz's determined comments came a day after another Aussie all-rounder Shane Watson said he would not mind ignoring the security concerns to play in trouble-tornPakistan to keep himself in the Australian team.

"You can go to a number of places in this world that are dangerous," said Hauritz, who played the only Test match ofhis career in Mumbai four years ago.

The right-handed bowler, however, said he has full faith on Cricket Australia (CA) and will follow the decision takenby the authority.

"But at the end of the day it's not my call and it's up to Cricket Australia. I'm sure they will do everything theycan to make sure it's safe," Hauritz said.

Besides the only Test, in which he took five wickets for103 runs, Hauritz has served the country in eight one-dayers.
