RUSSIA REITERATES SUPPORT FOR AZERBAIJAN`s TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY

Baku, May 24 (AzerTAc). “Official Moscow is convinced a status of Nagorno-Karabakh could not be determined by “elections” in this region. A future status of Nagorno-Karabakh should be found through political negotiations under the Minsk process with the participation of all sides and without resorting to the use of force,” Russian FM Spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said on Monday.
He said his country does not consider the course of peaceful resolution over the conflict depend on “elections” held in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Moscow supports the principle of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity, as well as other fundamental norms and principles of international law,” the diplomat said.
“The official Moscow does not recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state,” Nesterenko underlined.
