GIZ GALASI FESTIVAL DUE TO OPEN IN AZERI CAPITAL

Baku, May 24 (AzerTAc). The Heydar Aliyev Foundation in close partnership with the Museum of Modern Arts and Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve under the Azeri Cabinet will hold an International Art Festival “Giz Galasi” (‘Maiden Tower’) on May 26. The main objective of the festival is to raise awareness about the Maiden Tower, one of the most ancient monuments of Azerbaijan, and contribute to the enrichment of common heritage of mankind and dialogue between cultures. Over 20 renowned artists from 18 countries are involved in the project.
During the festival the participants will pattern models of the Maiden Tower in their own style. On May 28 everybody is invited to attend the open-air exhibition in Icherisheher to enjoy the original works of art and communicate with the artists.
