Iran highlights culture of sacred defense in confronting soft war
Tehran, May 24, IRNA – Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini said that relying on the culture of sacred defense was a very constructive and effective way in confronting the soft warfare being waged against Iran.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA on the occasion of the victory anniversary of Khorramshahr, the minister elaborated that those who used every kind of mass killing weapons including the chemical ones against Iran were now launching TV and radio channels as well as news websites against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said that by doing so, the enemies of the country wanted to influence minds and thoughts of people in Iran especially the youngsters and make them passive.
Hosseini believed the best way to confront such plans was to revive the same culture which prevailed in the years of sacred defense.
Iranian combatants managed to free the city of Khorramshahr in 1982 after 578 days of occupation by Iraqi forces./end
