Iran, one of seven world countries having high investment potentials

Tehran, May 24, IRNA – The Head of the Iran-Portugal Commercial Council said that despite the existing economic recession in the world, Iran is one of the seven countries in the world which possess high investment potentials.
Talking to IRNA on the sidelines of a meeting for Iranian investors living abroad as well as Iranian and foreign investors, Nader Haqiqi pointed out that Iran was a developing country which could act as one of world’s best investment hubs due to the economic recession inflicting many European countries as well as the US.
He said Portuguese investors had a positive attitude towards making investment in Iran.
The official further assessed the meeting as a fruitful event, stressing that holding such gatherings could play a good role in attracting Iranian investors living abroad as well as foreign investors.
Commenting on the exchanges existing between Iranian and foreign banks, he said Iranian banks should play a more active role and sign contracts with foreign banks to encourage investors to enter ventures in Iran./end
