Teenage showjumper hurt in fall

A 17-year-old girl has been crushed under her horse and seriously injured during a
showjumping event southwest of Sydney.
The teenager, from Clarence Town in the Hunter Valley, was knocked unconscious as
she fell from the horse which then landed on top of her, paramedics say.
The accident happened at the Bicentennial Park Equestrian Centre in Camden about 3pm
(AEST) on Sunday.
An ambulance helicopter landed in a nearby paddock and paramedics treated the girl
at the scene.
She was put into a medically-induced coma and taken by road to Liverpool Hospital
where she was reported to be in a serious but stable condition.
