FM: Iran keen to strengthen economic ties with Africa

Tehran, May 23, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said Sunday that Iran is keen to strengthen economic and political ties with African states.
Mottaki made the remark in his meeting with visiting special presidential Envoy of Guinea-Bissau Abubacar Demba Dahaba.
Mottaki further called for preparation of ground to this end.
Mottaki noted that the Iranian corporations are running various projects in Africa which signifies the importance Tehran attaches to African states.
Demba Dahaba for his part, said that his country is willing to further boost relations with Iran. He stressed that Guinea-Bissau supports bilateral cooperation with Tehran. He remarked that his country is willing to benefit from Iranian expertise in different areas./end
