Larijani: Nuclear fuel swap process will stop any US adventurism

Tehran, May 23, IRNA – Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said the process of nuclear fuel swap would stop if the US indulged in any adventurism action in the United Nations Security Council or the Senate.

Addressing parliament’s Sunday morning session, he said such moves by the US will destroy the result of all efforts by Brazil and Turkey and halt nuclear fuel swap.

Referring to preparation of a draft resolution by the US against the Iranian nation, he also said the parliament will reconsider ways of Iran’s cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Outlining the process of the signing of a declaration in Tehran following mediatory efforts by Brazil and Turkey, Larijani stressed that the Americans themselves had in a written form requested Turkey to act as a mediator with Iran and persuaded Turkey and Brazil to enter the scene to open up a new path for settling the issue.

Noting that Iran accepted the two countries’ mediation for the respect Tehran had for them as two friendly countries, the speaker said after the issuing of the declaration the Americans suddenly started moving towards a new statement against Iran./end
