Photo contest launched to mark the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – A photo contest under the theme “A moment of Thang Long” has
been launched to mark the 1,000 th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.

Professional and amateur Vietnamese or foreign photographers who live in Vietnam
are encouraged to join in the contest between now and August 30, 2010. The
winner of the contest will be awarded 20 million VND in money prize. Participating
photos will then be displayed at an exhibition at 29 Hang Bai street in
Hanoi from Oct. 2-7.

Contest entries must reflect the beauty and variety in the life and culture of
Hanoians as well as cultural and architectural works and traditional festivals
throughout the city. They must neither be printed on newspapers nor win prizes at
other photo contests.

Contestants can submit their photos to the organising board at 71 Nguyen Chi
