Yemen, UNHCR discuss refugees condition
SANA'A, July 13 (Saba)- Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi held talks on Saturday with the representative of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The talks focused on the mutual cooperation between Yemen and the UNHCR in field of supporting refugees in the country.
Al-Arhabi appreciated humanitarian efforts of the commission for refugees, pointing to the importance of enhancing cooperation between Yemen and the UNHCR to reduce suffering of the refugees.
For her part, the UNHCR official briefed al-Arhabi on the efforts of the commission and its assistance as well as future plans to improve condition of the refugees in the region.She praised efforts exerted by the Yemeni government in cooperation with donors to offer care for refugees and deal with current increase in food prices.
