ATO discusses establishing bureau in Yemen
SANA'A, July 13 (Saba) - Yemen and Arab Tourism Organization (ATO) discussed here on Saturday the possibility of establishing an office for the organization in Yemen.
Tourism Minister Nabil al-Faqih held talks with the president of the ATO Bander Bin Fahd al-Fuhaid on the cooperation ties between Yemen and the organization in field of training the ministry's cadre.
They also discussed issues of financing tourist projects and means of marketing and promoting tourism in the country through creating a related unit in the organization's headquarters and affiliating with the ministry.
During the meeting, al-Faqih affirmed Yemeni government's concern to boost partnership with the organization, noting to the necessity of improving Arab-Arab tourism.
For his part, al-Fuhaid praised developments achieved in the tourism sector during the last three years, noting that there are positive indicators showing that Yemen will be in the coming period a tourism destination, especially for Arab tourists.
He valued Yemeni keenness on improving Arab tourism and its effective contribution to succeed the ATO's plans and programs, accentuating the organization's keenness on raising cooperation level with Yemen.
