part in an international spring fair being held in Pyongyang. Oleg
Alyokhin, a representative of the Baltika Brewery, told Itar-Tass on
Friday that for the time being the company's exports to North Korea are

Commerce companies from 14 countries, including China, Germany,

country. The German " SITEK" company exports machine- building equipment.
Helmut Brammen- manager of the Austrian "FHB Handles> company, said he was
going to open a cafe in one of the central districts of Pyongyang. The
cafe will serve coffee brought from Vienna and produce confectionary and
bakery products based on the Austrian production technologies, the manager
said.
North Korean pavilions at the international fair have been heavily
crowded. There is a big demand for silver and gold jewelry articles made
by local craftsmen, North Korea perfume and cosmetics.
Addressing the opening ceremony North Korean Deputy foreign trade
minister expressed confidence that all the countries taking part in
the international fair would achieve economic success by means of
developing multilateral cooperation and technological exchange. The

states on the basis of the principles of equality and mutual advantage,
