BAKU HOSTS CONFERENCE ON EGYPT`S CULTURE IN CONTEXT OF WORLD CIVILIZATIONS
Baku, May 21 (AzerTAc). A scientific conference on the “Egypt`s culture in the context of world civilizations” held here on Thursday.
Head of “Simurg” Azerbaijan Cultural Center, professor Fuad Mammadov stressed the importance of the event, saying “Egypt played a significant role in development of world civilization”.
Other speakers of the event including chief of Egypt Culture Center in Baku Adel Dervish and Egyptian First Deputy Minister of Education Mohamed G. Abou Ali highly praised Azerbaijan-Egypt educational ties.
The Egyptian deputy minister stressed “expansion of cultural relations will play an important role in development of ties between the two states”.
The conferees also heard reports on various themes, including “Egypt`s culture in the context of world civilizations”, “Culture of Egypt: history and modernity”, “Human rights in Islam” and “Literature of Egypt”.
Later, the event was followed by a “roundtable” entitled “Culture of Egypt: yesterday, today and tomorrow”.
