Hong Kong`s delegation to visit APEC facilities in Vladivostok.

HONG KONG /SIANGAN/, May 19 (Itar-Tass) - A delegation from Hong Kong
headed by Financial Secretary John Tsang Chun-wah is arriving in
Vladivostok on Thursday. The Hong Kong delegation comprises 35 people:
officials, politicians and businessmen, ITAR-TASS learnt at press center
of the administration of the Primorsky Territory.
The visit program includes a Russian-Hong Kong business seminar "Hong
Kong: a perspective regional partner in Asia," during which a concept of
socio-economic development of the Primorsky Territory and a number of
promising investment projects will be presented. Representatives of
different fields of business of Hong Kong, for their part, will tell their
colleagues about peculiarities of business partnership with Hong Kong's
companies.
Besides, the delegation is to visit the facilities being built for the
summit APEC 2012. The guests will visit the Russky Island and familiarize
themselves with the pace of the construction of Far Eastern Federal
University, the work of the Vladivostok sea trade port and enterprises
with joint Russian-Chinese investments.
The dynamics of growth of foreign trade relations between Primorye and
Hong Kong has been recorded. The trade turnover of the territory with the
Asian megapolis over the last five years increased almost 80 times - -
from 0.7 million dollars in 2005 to 55.5 million dollars in 2009. The
Primorsky Territory takes active part in exhibitions which are held in
Hong Kong. Thus the territory's exposition at the exhibition MIPIM Asia in
2009 was devoted to Vladivostok's preparations for the summit APEC 2012.
It was held for the first time with the use of the latest technologies of
interactive presentation and the possibility to watch the facilities on
line.
