North Korea decides to meet fully demand for cheap goods & food.

PYONGYANG, May 20 (Itar-Tass) - The republican meeting of the trading
sphere, held here on Wednesday, decided to raise the level of socialist
trade in North Korea.
According to the KCNA news agency, workers of trading enterprises in
the country face the task "of meeting the demand for cheap consumer goods
and foodstuffs with their own efforts". According to an instruction of
North Korea leader Kim Jong-Il, special attention will be given to the
output and sales of children's clothing.
Speakers at the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Kim Yong Il and
his deputies, stressed that workers of the trading sphere are duty-bound
to supply population with high quality goods, "making thereby their
contribution to the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Korean
Workers Party, marked this year".
Calls by the Korean Workers Party, published early this year, pointed
to the importance of priority development of the light industry and
agriculture "for a resolute swing in raising people's well-being and
improving quality of consumer goods".
