China`s FM calls Chonan sinking `regrettable`, gives no comments.

BEIJING, May 20 (Itar-Tass) -- China does not comment on the results
of the investigation of sinking of South Korea' navy corvette Chonan.
On Thursday, China's Deputy Foreign Minister Cui Tiankai called this
accident "regrettable" and called for "stability in the Korean Peninsula."
Earlier, China's Foreign Ministry said it hoped "this question will be
settled in a proper way."
The renewal of the sextet talks is at risk because of South Korea's
intentions to undertake strict measures against Pyongyang.
An official, report published in Seoul on Thursday, said that the
South Korean corvette Chonan had been sunk by a torpedo launched from
China's mini-submarine.
