Medvedev says N Caucasus leaders who cannot talk to political forces
MOSCOW, May 20 (Itar-Tass) -- President Dmitry Medvedev said North
Caucasian leaders who cannot forge a dialogue with all political forces in
the region should go.
"Dialogue with different forces that work in the North Caucasian
republics is a sacred duty of the presidents and the heads of
administrations," Medvedev said at a meeting of the Presidential Council
for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions on
Wednesday.
"They do not talk with armed groups, but it is their duty to talk with
various forces that exist there," he said.
"The heads of the republics who do not do so will eventually have to
leave. Otherwise, they simply won't succeed," Medvedev warned.
