Interim govt does not rule out curfew in southern Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, May 19 (Itar-Tass) - The interim government does not rule out
the introduction of curfew zone in southern Kyrgyzstan, a special
statement of the interim government said on Wednesday.
It also noted that task force as well as heads of law enforcement and
power wielding agencies had been sent in the regional centre of Jalalabad
to settle and localize a conflict.
Representatives of the interim government have accused allies of
former president Kurmanbek Bakiyev of the developments in Jalalabad.
According to updated reports, crowds of people are gathering in Jalalabad,
with ethnic Uzbeks and Kirghiz among them.
One person was killed and 30 people have been wounded as a result of
unrest in the city on Wednesday.
