Yemeni-Gulf Technical Committee to meet in Sana'a next week
SANA'A, July 11 (Saba)- The proceedings of the Yemeni-Gulf Technical Committee are to be held on 14-15 July in Sana'a and would be dedicated to thrash out issues linked to progress made inallocating Gulf donors pledges and national reforms.
Moreover, the meetings will deal with the impacts of soaring food prices on supply and food situation in Yemen as well asreviewing the third five year plan.
The Gulf side will brief the Yemeni side on the outcomes of the meeting of Yemen and Gulf Cooperation Council GCC Foreign Ministers held in March in Saudi Arabia's capital, in particular, those linked to developments onYemen's accession to the bloc.
The meeting called for finalizing all measures related toYemen's joining to the GCC Standardizations Organization, establishing mechanisms to encourage the Gulf private sector to invest in Yemen and strengthen the partnership between Yemen and Gulf businessmen.
The meeting stressed the importance of continuousdelebrations by Yemen and the GCC to strengthen partnership in various fields. Furthermore, the meeting asserted the significance of implementing what were agreed upon in the GCC Secretariat General meetings held in March and November 2006 that focus on identifying Yemen's developmental needs and providing necessary funds for the country to carry out development projects.
