Sarkozy: Tehran nuclear declaration, 'positive'

Paris, May 19, IRNA – French President Nicolas Sarkozy, in a meeting with his Brazilian counterpart Lula da Silva, appreciated his efforts to reach an agreement in Tehran and called the Tehran Declaration
'conditionally a positive step'.
The French Presidential Office in a statement issued on Tuesday, by referring to the meeting between Sarkozy and Lula on the sidelines of meeting between European Union member countries and Latin American countries in Madrid, said that the French president in his meeting with Brazilian president, had discussed Iran’s nuclear issue.
According to the statement which was issued by Elysee Palace, President Sarkozy has expressed his gratitude and full support for President Lula's efforts.
Sarkozy has declared that France is awaiting Iran’s letter to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and that France will consider the letter with Group 5+1 and will readily discuss all consequences of Tehran’s nuclear dossier.
The statement continued that French president has reminded that Iran’s nuclear problem is different from its Tehran Research Reactor issue./end
