Iranian-Kuwaiti officials hold talks

Kuwait city, May 19, IRNA – Iran’s Envoy to Kuwait Ali Jannati in a meeting with Kuwaiti Commerce and Industry Minister Ahmad Rashid al-Haroon discussed issues of mutual interest here on Tuesday.
Jannati told IRNA that in his meeting with Ahmad Rashid al-Haroon, a number of issues, including agreements in the joint commerce committees, were discussed.
He added that Ministry of Commerce and Industry is among Kuwaiti ministries which have always had interest in expansion of bilateral trade and economic ties.
Jannati continued that the current commerce minister, because of his personal experience and long time work in the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is interested in expansion and strengthening of mutual relations and has made serious efforts to remove trade problems and obstacles between Iran and Kuwait.
Jannati extended Iran’s Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari's invitation to his Kuwaiti counterpart to visit Iran.
The outgoing ambassador's meetings with Kuwaiti officials is in direction of his farewell visits.
Iran’s new envoy to Kuwait Mohammad Jalal Firouznia has been introduced and will start his work soon./end
