World awaiting positive reaction of Vienna Group to Tehran Agreement
Tehran, May 19, IRNA -- Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Tuesday that the international community expects Vienna Group to adopt a rational and positive response to Tehran Declaration on fuel swap.
Talking to domestic and foreign reporters during his weekly press briefing, he said that now it is up to the Vienna Group to set timetable for the fuel swap to help sign a written accord to this effect in order to change the current atmosphere.
Vienna Group should not keep the international community waiting, Mehmanparast said.
“We try to positively look at the issue. We do our best to improve atmosphere.”
He said that it is expected that the US would study the case precisely and make use of the opportunity made available by tripartite agreement on May 17./end
