DISPLACED WOMEN END TRAINING PROGRAM IN SAADA
SAADA, May 18 (Saba)- A training program for female displaced people over literacy, handworks and crafts, organized by Saada Female Charitable Society in cooperation with UNICEF, was concluded on Tuesday.
The 120 displaced women from various districts participating in the program received a training course on reading and writing, awareness on productive health and education, personal cleaning and methods of AIDS prevention.
The participants also received a training on the field of sewing and embroidery.
At the conclusion ceremony, governor of Saada Taha Hajir stressed the importance of the activities and program which contribute to developing women abilities.
He appreciated efforts of Saada Female Charitable Society to adopt such activities, events and charitable work among the displaced families and the poor people.
He also hailed the role of UNICEF in supporting such activities, affirming support of the governorate's leadership to the events which develop social abilities.
On the other hand, the governor also paid an inspection visit to the project of lighting the streets of the province's capital which costs YR550 million.
