Earthquake felt in northwestern Pakistan's mountain range

Islamabad, July 11 PPI: An earthquake was felt in north-western Pakistan's mountain range on Friday morning, state media reported.

The quake measured a 5.2 magnitude and occurred at 8:04 a.m. on Friday, said Pakistan Television.

It quoted seismological department as saying the quake originated from mountain range of Hindu Kush, 300 kilometers away from Peshawar, capital of North West Frontier Province.

Tremors were felt in Peshawar, Chitral and other areas in northwestern Pakistan, and no casualties were reported.
