Iran's FM in Dushanbe for OIC confab

Dushanbe, May 18, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in the Tajik capital Tuesday morning to attend an OIC meeting.

Upon arrival in the city, the Iranian delegation was warmly welcomed by the Tajik foreign minister.

The 37th session of foreign ministerial meeting of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is to open in Dushanbe later today with participation of 57 delegations from the member countries.

The Holy Qods, Mideast free from nuclear weapons, Somalia, West’s Islamophobia and promotion of women status will be among issues to be discussed during the OIC meeting.

Mottaki is to deliver a speech at the meeting.

Mottaki is also to meet foreign officials attending the confab on the sidelines of the OIC meeting./end
