AZERBAIJAN NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES, IAEA DISCUSS COOPERATION PROSPECTS
Baku, May 17 (AzerTAc). President of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Mahmud Karimov has met today IAEA`s delegation led by Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation Ana Maria Cetto to discuss how to boost bilateral cooperation.
Karimov spoke of what the ANAS had done to contribute to developing science in his country.
He also praised the cooperation between ANAS and IAEA.
Karimov added IAEA provides ANAS with necessary technical assistance.
He pointed out IAEA supports participation of Azerbaijani scientists in various trainings.
Director of the ANAS Institute of Radiation Problems Adil Garibov briefed the delegation on the projects carried by his structure.
Ana Maria Cetto, in turn, told of the importance of the ANAS-IAEA cooperation.
Ana Maria Cetto was awarded Diploma of Honorary Doctor of ANAS.
