KOREAN YOUTH VISIT ISMAYILLI REGION
Ismayilli, May 17 (AzerTAc). A visiting group of Korean youngsters made a trip to Azerbaijan`s Ismayilli region on May 15.
Koreans accompanied by senior advisor of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Youth and Sport Elchin Najafov, met with first deputy governor of the region Rafael Ahmadov.
Ahmadov gave full information on the region`s history, socio-cultural life and tourism opportunities.
Korean delegation also visited Heydar Aliyev center and familiarized themselves with documents reflecting the nationwide leader`s life and activity.
The same day, Korean youth visited Ivanovka village. Here they were welcomed by representative of local authorities Olga Jabina, chief of Nikitin farm Mikhail Ponfyorov, director of secondary school Mikhail Uryupin and chairman of Ivanovka municipality Alexander Voropayev.
The delegation was informed about the village, its economy, socio-cultural life and activity of youth. Here they also visited the school, culture center, Youth center and Heydar Aliyev Park.
On May 16, the delegation arrived in Lahij village. Here, they were welcomed by representative of the settlement`s local authority Fikrat Hagverdiyev, director of Lahij Information Center Dadash Aliyev and representative of Lahij museum Maarif Aliyev.
From Lahij, the Korean youth left for Shaki.
The Korean delegation arrived in Azerbaijan in accordance with the MoU on cooperation between Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Youth and Sport and Korean National Youth Commission.
