JORDAN`S KING SEES AMMUNITION AND HARDWARE PRODUCED AT ELECTRONIC COMPUTER PLANT IN BAKU
Baku, May 16 (AzerTAc). King Abdullah II of Jordan has today visited the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry`s electronic computer plant on Sunday.
Defense Industry Minister Yaver Jamalov told the King about the plant`s activity.
The Jordan King watched a video about plant`s work and products manufactured here, which are up to world standards.
King Abdulla II also saw an exhibition of products manufactured by the ministry`s enterprises. He was informed about the Istiglal IST-14.5 Anti-Material Rifle, a recoil-operated, semi-automatic anti-material rifle developed by the Azerbaijani Defense Industry. The Istiglal anti-material rifle also makes an excellent sniper rifle because it has 2500 meters of effective range. The exhibition featured heavy-calibre sniper rifle, Zafar and Zafar K pistols, mortars and hardware.
The King saw the Matador, an armoured mine protected vehicle, produced here in accordance with the contract with South Africa`s Paramount Group. Azerbaijan is the only country in the CIS area to produce such a vehicle.
