43 people died in traffic accidents last week in Yemen
SANA'A, May 15 (Saba) - About
43 people were killed and 135 others were wounded in nearly 265 road accidents taken
place
throughout the country during the last week.
According to a statistic report issued by the Public Traffic Department, the
accidents distributed to 143 crash accidents, 87 running over, 27 vehicles'
overturning and
7 falling accidents.
The accidents caused material losses reached roughly YR 24.6 million.
The report noted that the capital Sana'a has ranked first among the provinces in
terms of incidents' number with 81 ones and followed by 38 accidents in Hajjah
province.
The reasons behind the accidents were over speed, neglect, technical faults and
others, according to the report.
