Man charged with Facebook teen`s murder

A 20-year-old Leumeah man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a young
woman in Sydney's southwest.
Cecil Hills woman Nona Belomesoff, 18, disappeared on Wednesday after going to meet
two men she befriended on Facebook.
Police arrested the man in Wyndham Avenue, Leumeah, at about 8.10pm (AEST) on Friday
and, acting on information, scoured bushland near Waminda Oval at Campbelltown where
they discovered the body.
Ms Belomesoff had arranged to meet the two men at about 10am (AEST) at Leumeah
railway station and planned to return home on Thursday morning after a night
camping.
The man appeared at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
He was refused bail and will appear before Campbelltown Local Court on May 20.
