AZERBAIJAN`s DEFENSE INDUSTRY MINISTER ATTENDS SOFEX 2010 INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION IN AMMAN
Baku, May 15 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Defense Industry Yavar Camalov attended SOFEX-2010 international exhibition held in Jordanian capital Amman on May 10-13.
According to press service of the Ministry, the event brought together more than 350 companies engaged in defense industry. Azeri companies showed off over 55 types of products, including fire-arms, artillery mounts and ammunitions. The highlight of Azerbaijan`s showcase was Istiglal sniper rifle which was demonstrated at IDEF-2009 international exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense Industry signed several contracts and protocols of intent with Jordanian and Turkish companies.
Minister Jamalov met with the country`s officials and heads of foreign companies participating in the exhibition.
