WRESTLERS WIN MEDALS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Wrestlers have won medals at the Free-Style Wrestling Asian Championship which has been running in New Delhi city, India.
A Mongolian J.Chuluunbat won a silver medal in the men's 120 kg contest. He had a bye in his first turn and defeated rivals from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. At the gold medal contest, Chuluunbat was beaten by a Kazakh wrestler Marid Mutalimov. Another Mongolian P.Onorbat (66 kg) won a bronze medal at the repechage round with three wins.
Wrestlers T.Davaakhuyag (55 kg) and D.Tugjdorj (84 kg) who competed Thursday did not grab medals.
On Friday, female wrestlers D.Baasanjargal (48 kg), D.Otgontsetseg (51 kg), S.Byambatseren (55 kg), S.Battsetseg (59 kg), T.Monkhtuya (63 kg), B.Oyunsuren (67 kg) and G.Naranchimeg (72 kg) will compete in their matches.
The competitions will last until May 16.
