Saudi authorities satisfied with performance of Bangladeshi workers, says ambassador

DHAKA, Bangladesh, July 11 (BSS) - Newly-appointed Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdullah bin Naser al Bosairi today said the authorities of his country are satisfied with theperformance of Bangladeshi workers.

He told journalists after a meeting with Foreign Adviser DrIftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury at the latter's office here.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues of the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, said anofficial handout.

They talked about the ways of enhancing possibilities ofcommerce and investment between the two countries.

The Saudi ambassador said a large number of Bangladeshi workers are working in Saudi Arabia and making significantcontributions to the economy of that country.

Replying a question on the problems the Bangladeshi workers facing in his country, the Saudi ambassador said there are some problems on both the sides and talks are going on to resolvethose.

The King of Saudi Arabia would be happy if he could visitBangladesh in a suitable time, he said.

Dr Iftekhar said there is a strong relation prevailing between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. The relation would further be closer and stronger during the tenure of the presentambassador, he expected.
