TURKISH PREMIER AND RUSSIAN PRESIDENT DISCUSS NAGORNO-KARABAKH CONFLICT
Ankara, May 12 (AzerTAc). Russia, OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, country sharing border with Azerbaijan and having close relations with Armenia, has stronger position in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution process, Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a press conference following a meeting with visiting President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
“I think if Armenia is constructive, it will be possible to put an end to instability in the region. Turkey, OSCE member and regional power, for his part, is ready to make its contribution to resolution of the conflict,” said Erdogan.
Dmitry Medvedev said Russia intensified its mediation efforts to find a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to him, talks between Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders allowed making a certain progress. Saying the problem is very difficult to solve, the Russian leader noted the sides` strong will and good intentions would help solve a problem.
