ACADEMIC SESSION ON CENTENARY ANNIVERSARY OF AZERI POET HELD IN BAKU
Baku, May 12 (AzerTAc).The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences held an academic session dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the People`s Poet, the USSR State Prize Winner, Hero of Socialist Labor Rasul Rza.
Exhibition of the books and personal photos of the prominent poet of Azerbaijan were displayed in the foyer of Academy.
President of Academy Mahmud Kerimov made opening remarks, noting that Rasul Rza won public acknowledgement still in his life time.
Then, academicians Bekir Nabiyev, Agamusa Akhundov and Yagub Mahmudov spoke of different aspects of Rasul Rza`s creative activity, his contribution to the national literature and culture.
