US careful not to take military action against Iran: Minister

Jask, Hormuzgan prov, May 12, IRNA – Minister of Defense Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said Wednesday he believed US is wise enough not to make any military movement against Iran.
Speaking to reporters in this southern provincial port city, the minister said the US is prudent enough not to threaten the Iranian nation or think of making a mistake by taking a military action against the country.
The minister spoke to reporters on the sidelines of the Iranian Army’s five-stage military war games code-named as ‘Velayat 89,’ which were underway in the country’s southern territorial waters.
The military drill will end later on Wednesday. It was launched in a vast area from the Persian Gulf waters to the Sea of Oman and waters of the northern Indian Ocean.
Vahidi referred to the vast extent of the military drill as a privilege of the operation.
He stressed that the war games were based on specific military tactics and preplanned scenarios made by the Army’s navy force./end
