PGCC calls for peaceful solution to Iran’s n-program

Riyadh, May 12, IRNA – Heads of six member countries of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) called again for a peaceful solution to Iran’s nuclear program in their 12th meeting here on Tuesday evening.
In the meeting, heads of states also called for a region free of weapons of mass destruction in the framework of international laws and regulations as a right of all regional countries. They also underlined non-interference of foreign sides in Iraq's domestic affairs, underscoring Iraq's sovereignty and independence .
The officials expressed hope that parliamentary election in Iraq could lead to establishment of national government without foreign interference and religious and tribal prejudices.
Condemning Zionist regime crimes in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip, the six members of PGCC expressed hope that beginning of indirect talks by the Zionist regime with the Palestine Authority could lead to the end of crimes by the regime in the region.
Considering recent threats of the Zionist regime against Syrian and Lebanese nations, the participants in the meeting called the threats as an element for creating insecurity and instability in the sensitive region of the Middle East.
Situation in Yemen, Sudan, the issue of terrorism, marine insecurity in Aden Gulf were among other issues discussed in the meeting.
